Polygon ( MATIC) is finally making it’s migration from Matic to Pol.
Polygon completes it’s most important technical upgrade today switching from Matic to Pol.
According to Polygon Twitter migration will take place today and all existing Matic (Polygon) tokens will be converted to the new Pol ( Polygon)
What you need to know and why is it happening?
Polygon upgrades aims to make Pol a more hyper productive token which means it will be used a the native token for polygon ecosystem and also serve as gas token just like Matic
Pol will be used a staking asset to secure Polygon’s Proof-of-stake blockchain and reduce the annual emission by 2%
The migration process likely to start today and no immediate deadline to do so polygon.
Major Crypto exchanges already supporting the migration meaning users won’t need to migrate on their own
At the time of reporting Matic ( Pol) is trading at $0.41 per token
